On Wednesday 7 January, a group of Year 9 scientists travelled to the University of Liverpool for an exciting and inspiring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) day. The visit provided pupils with a valuable opportunity to experience university life first hand, working in excellent facilities and taking part in a wide range of hands-on activities that brought STEM subjects to life.

On 28 December, Jack represented Rossall School at the North West Schools Biathlon National Qualifier, held at Salt Ayre.

We are delighted to announce that the prestigious Royal Air Force Club in London has been secured as the venue for the Old Rossallian London Dinner, taking place on Thursday, 7 May 2026, in the elegant President’s Room.

A vibrant and heartfelt musical theatre showcase by the Broadway Performing Arts Academy, celebrating beloved songs, youthful talent, and the joy of performance. Despite the rainy evening, the show delivered warmth, inclusivity, and community through iconic numbers from stage classics.

The Scholars Theatre Society’s performance of Cinderella offered a fresh and inspiring take on the classic tale, made all the more impressive by the fact that the entire production was student-generated from concept to execution.

Upper School students and younger year groups came together to celebrate the festive season with Christmas dinners, pizza parties, games, music, and plenty of cheer. From a beautifully decorated dining hall to lively celebrations filled with laughter and dancing, it was a joyful way to mark the end of a busy term.

The TEDx Conference 2025 showcased students delivering powerful, fully memorised talks based on their own ideas and personal experiences. Despite busy schedules filled with exams and applications, each speaker demonstrated courage, growth, and exceptional public speaking skills. The event highlighted the importance of communication, resilience, and community, leaving staff and students deeply proud and inspired by the confidence and honesty shown on stage.

Rossall School has enjoyed a highly successful Michaelmas term across football and sport, with students achieving impressive results and demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination on the pitch.

Year 10 Design and Technology students at Rossall School have been putting their woodworking skills to the test with a festive project, creating their own timber Christmas trees from scratch.

Rossall School was delighted to take part in this year’s Santa Dash along Blackpool Promenade, joining hundreds of festive runners in support of a much-loved community event.

Years 7 and 8 were treated to a surprise this week as some very youthful looking English teachers took over their lessons. Members of the Sixth Form Literary Farrell Society planned and delivered a series of fun and festive sessions exploring Christmas literature, seasonal traditions and much more.

The Senior School marked Christmas Jumper Day by supporting The Pantry, a local food bank in Fleetwood, through generous donations of essential items.

Rossall School has been named among the Top 25 schools in the country for the International Baccalaureate qualification, a notable national achievement that reflects exceptional academic performance and breadth of learning…

Rossall wishes Mr Dina Porovic best wishes and luck as she leaves us for future endeavours. Despite my fairly nomadic existence as a child, I have never been a great fan of goodbyes. I feel them too much. The illusion of control I try to exert over how I respond to the challenges of life rarely holds if I truly attempt to face an ending. I am not particularly proud of this, but I suspect that it is a human response, perhaps defined by the proper goodbyes I have failed to say in the years gone by. 

Rossall students across KS3 to KS5 embraced the annual GCHQ Christmas Card Puzzle, showcasing impressive teamwork and problem-solving skills. Their enthusiasm and creativity made this year's challenge a great success.

Rossall School was filled with colour and cheer as pupils and staff from Nursery through to Sixth Form embraced Christmas Jumper Day. From the earliest learners to senior students, along with teachers and support staff, the entire community arrived in an array of vibrant and imaginative knitwear that celebrated the spirit of the season.

Our physicists had a smashing time with a visit to the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN), home of the largest physics experiment devised by humans, the Large Hadron Collider.

From detailed fine art paintings to imaginative digital designs created in Photoshop, every form of art has been explored to bring our 2025 collection to life.
