Holiday and travel arrangements must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the end of each term and half term. Regardless of if you are staying in the UK with your Guardian or returning home, holiday and travel details should be submitted by completing our dedicated online form:
Holiday and Travel Arrangements Form
48 hours’ notice is required to arrange transport, except in emergency situations. Please do not send travel details in any other format or directly to Houseparents.
For students flying from and to the UK we can provide a shuttle service to and from Manchester and Liverpool Airports. For the safety and well-being of our students and in order to adhere to driver regulated hours, the airport shuttle service for arrivals will operate between the hours of 6.00am and 9.00pm, and for flights departing from Manchester/Liverpool between 9.00am and 9.00pm on travel days or where possible after academic lessons. There is an additional cost for airport transfers.
For departures students will leave the school campus a minimum of 4.5 hours prior to their flight time to take into consideration traffic delays or check-in delays. Therefore please consider this when booking your child’s flights. Please be aware that the majority of our students fly into Manchester airport and therefore shuttle services are provided every 2-3 hours on the main arrival day. This may mean a short, supervised wait, depending on arrival times.
Once you have submitted the details, you will receive an automated email that confirms the details.
All communication regarding holiday travel arrangements such as changes, delays, updates should be sent to holidayarrangements@rossall.org.uk.
If your child is travelling as an Unaccompanied Minor, please contact holidayarrangements@rossall.org.uk who will advise the school representative’s details for the airline documentation.
All boarders arriving at Manchester Airport should make their way to Pret A Manger in front of the Terminal 2 Arrivals Hall where Rossall staff will be located.
The staff can be contacted via phone or WhatsApp on +44 (0) 7880 035414 if any difficulties are experienced at the airport.
Rossall School offers a chargeable shuttle service to Poulton train station. Travel by rail is only permitted for students who are 16 years and over.
