BROADWAY Saturday Academy

What is the programme?

The Broadway Saturday Academy is a weekly musical theatre training programme for young performers in Years 3–13 (ages 7–18). Open to students from across the region, it offers training in acting, singing and dance in a supportive, inclusive and kind environment.

Sessions take place on Saturday mornings during term time and focus on building performance skills, confidence and creativity through practical, ensemble-based work. Across the year, students take part in in-studio sharings and full-scale musical theatre productions, applying their learning in real performance contexts.

What makes this programme unique?

Broadway Saturday Academy combines high-quality musical theatre training with a strong culture of kindness, collaboration and encouragement. Students follow a clear annual structure: skills development in the autumn term followed by a full-scale musical production in the spring and summer terms. This creates a focused but creative progression through the year without formal levels or tiering.

The programme brings together young performers from across the region, creating a vibrant ensemble environment where students learn from each other, build confidence and develop through shared performance experiences. Delivered by experienced performing arts practitioners within Rossall School’s established performing arts provision, students benefit from both expertise and professional-standard facilities.
