Sixth Formers Bring Christmas Literature to Life for Years 7 and 8
“Years 7 and 8 were treated to a surprise this week as some very youthful looking English teachers took over their lessons. Members of the Sixth Form Literary Farrell Society planned and delivered a series of fun and festive sessions exploring Christmas literature, seasonal traditions and much more.
The lessons featured a lively mix of games, storytelling, debates and even dance, all designed to engage and inspire younger pupils while celebrating the festive season. The Sixth Formers worked hard to create creative and interactive activities that brought literary themes to life in an accessible and enjoyable way.
A huge thank you goes to “Miss” Toluwani A, Thishani S, Prisha V, Thea H, Alyssa E, Seren M, Sofia F, Sofiia R, Olivia M, Tise I and Cynthia L. The students valued the opportunity to extend their learning beyond the A Level and IB English syllabi, even if being called “Miss”, despite encouraging pupils to use first names, felt a little strange at first.
Most importantly, Years 7 and 8 thoroughly enjoyed an educational and wonderfully Christmassy experience, making this a memorable end of term highlight.”
