We are now recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Dance and potential Head of the Dance Academy to join our vibrant Performing Arts department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and nurture Dance students and lead on the newly launched Dance Academy.
The Dance Department at Rossall School ensures that all pupils have the opportunity to benefit from a rich and diverse movement and dance curriculum. The focus is on developing core skills of balance, posture, coordination, control, flexibility, and mobility, providing a strong foundation for both performance and personal development. A variety of different dance styles are explored, encouraging creativity and cultural awareness. This is complemented by a vibrant co-curricular programme, where students can further develop their skills through clubs, rehearsals, and workshops. Dance is also offered as an academic subject at both GCSE and A Level, enabling students to pursue their passion through a structured and rigorous course of study that blends practical performance with critical analysis.

Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep School Vacancies
The Rossall Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep schools are close to our Senior School and are part of the wonderful, historical campus overlooking the coastline.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and positive Nursery Room Leader to join our happy and productive Nursery. The role of the Room Leader is to ensure all children attending Rossall Nursery receive high quality care, are kept safe, and are provided with stimulating play experiences that meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

We require a Graduate Assistant to work from September 2025 until the beginning of July 2026, in the Preparatory School.
Graduate Assistants live on-site in the shared staff accommodation, as this allows them to become fully involved in school life and take every opportunity available during their time at Rossall.
The position may suit a trainee teacher looking for valuable, short term, experience in an independent boarding and day school. Alternatively, this position may suit someone entering a gap year.
An additional role of Resident Tutor in the Prep boarding house may also be available which attracts an additional paid allowance. The two roles can be performed alongside each other. Details of the Resident Tutor role can be discussed at interview.

Non-Teaching Vacancies
Non-teaching staff make-up 58% of the staff at Rossall School and play a vital role in the School’s success.
Non-teaching staff provide essential services for the whole school ranging from day to day office support to financial and business management.
Onsite support staff include caretakers, people responsible for recruitment and marketing, cleaners, caterers, ground staff and many more.

We are looking to appoint an Accounts Administrator who is client focussed, able to build rapport quickly and who is a great communicator. They will provide an effective, timely preparation of invoices, as well as the collection of school and nursery fees. The role will involve maintaining accurate records, and managing fee-related communications with parents. A key part of the role is to actively monitor and recover outstanding balances in a professional, discreet, and empathetic manner, supporting the school’s financial health.
The ideal candidate will be organised and demonstrate strong numerical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle financial transactions efficiently and ethically.

Summer School Vacancies
Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills, and cultural experiences.
The Summer School is designed to appeal to children aged 11-17 from all over the world, running throughout the 8 weeks of the Rossall School summer holidays. We encourage a minimum two-week stay for all pupils.
