Purple for Progress: Supporting Refuge This International Women’s Day

In honour of International Women’s Day, Rossall School has proudly supported Refuge through our Purple for Purpose campaign. Throughout March, students have been invited to wear purple nail colour on their natural nails as a visible sign of solidarity and support.

The campaign began with a pop up salon in Mondos, where The Nail and Beauty Lounge generously volunteered their time to paint nails for students and staff. Each participant made a £15 donation to Refuge, helping to raise both awareness and vital funds for the charity’s work supporting women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

Our boarding houses have also embraced the initiative, with students painting each other’s nails and organising their own donations. The enthusiasm and sense of community across the School have been wonderful to see.

Together, the salon event raised over £400, with a further £140 donated by the Charity Committee. Every contribution will make a meaningful difference.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Purple for Purpose so far and helped make this initiative such a success.
