Rossall rose’s charity fundraising success!
The Rossall Rose Society is a vibrant, parent-led group at the heart of the Rossall community. Working together with the school, it creates memorable events and experiences for pupils and families, and raises funds for whole-school projects that make a lasting difference. Rossall Rose combines community spirit and generosity, with plenty of opportunities for fun along the way!
Alongside its contribution to school life, the Society is passionate about supporting local charities, with Brian House Children’s Hospice remaining its primary charitable focus.
Last year, Rossall Rose was delighted to donate £4,200 to Brian House.
Lawrence Condon, Carla Clarke, and Katie Diver visited the hospice to present the funds raised. The team heard first-hand from hospice staff about the vital care and support they provide to children and their families, and how much community fundraising means to them as a charity that relies heavily on donations.
“It was a privilege to see the difference this remarkable charity makes to families in our local community”, says Lawrence, “... We are committed to continuing our support, while building an even stronger relationship with the hospice in the years ahead”.
More recently, on Friday 25th September 2026, the Society hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, which was a lovely opportunity for the Rossall community to come together and enjoy a coffee, as well as some wonderful refreshments from the Catering Department. The morning was made even more special by beautiful music from two of the school’s talented pianists.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended and donated, the Society was delighted to raise £1,032.76 for Macmillan Cancer Support, an amazing £263 more than last year.
By coming together and supporting this event, Rossall joins thousands of people across the UK in raising vital funds that support people, and their families, who live with cancer.
Through events like these, alongside other fundraising opportunities and whole-school initiatives, Rossall Rose is proud to make a positive difference both within Rossall and beyond, strengthening the connections that make our community so special.
