Over the past week, the preliminary judges had the pleasure of watching the performances of over one hundred superb young pianists representing twenty-five countries.
We were so impressed by the outstanding levels of musicianship and technical skill on display, and the panel was faced with a very tough decision when selecting just ten performers from each category to progress to the final round.

We hope that those who did not make it through will not be too disappointed and that they will continue with their fantastic work at the piano – we would love to see you back in the competition next year! And to our thirty finalists, we wish you the very best of luck for the last stage of the competition, where your videos will be judged by Martin Roscoe, one of the UK’s best-loved concert pianists and Associate Professor of the Rossall International Piano Academy.
Between Friday 4 and Sunday 13 June, we will be posting the recital videos of one finalist from each category per day for the general public to enjoy. The winners will be announced on Friday 18 June on our website and social media channels (further details will be posted in due course). Over the coming weeks, all competitors will be receiving written feedback from the judges and a certificate of participation.
