a wonderful first weekend for our boarders
Dragon house walking away with the victory.
The boarders have settled into their new homes with great enthusiasm, quickly making their bedrooms their own and beginning to create a warm sense of belonging. They have enjoyed spending time with their housemates, forming new friendships and sharing stories as they settle into daily routines. At the same time, they have also embraced the opportunity to connect with students from other houses, particularly during the lively and energetic Chaos Games, an interhouse competition filled with fun challenges and plenty of laughter. The games offered a perfect chance for everyone to come together, show their house spirit, and support one another, all while building the bonds that make the boarding community so special.
A huge congratulations to Dragon House on their fantastic win, their teamwork and enthusiasm truly shone through.
Rose House enjoyed a short trip to the beach, just a two-minute walk from campus. Pupils made the most of the fresh air and open space, playing games on the sand, having a paddle, and spending time together away from the school grounds. It was a relaxed and enjoyable outing that gave everyone a chance to socialise and appreciate how close the beach is to their boarding home.
The Pupils commented on how lucky they feel to have the beach right on the doorstep of Rossall School. Being able to walk just a few minutes to the beach is something they truly appreciate, and it adds something special to their boarding experience.
Pelican House had a fantastic time on the squash courts this weekend, with plenty of energy and enthusiasm on display. For some, it was a chance to try the sport for the very first time, while others were eager to put their skills into practice and enjoy some friendly competition. The matches were filled with laughter, encouragement, and plenty of determination, as the players supported one another and celebrated every point won. It was wonderful to see Pelican students embracing the opportunity to be active, challenge themselves, and most importantly, have fun together both on and off the court.
The boarders are always busy with a wide range of activities that keep their days both exciting and fulfilling. From sports and games to creative projects, there is always something to take part in, ensuring that every child finds opportunities to explore their interests and try something new. These activities not only provide plenty of fun but also encourage teamwork, resilience, and a strong sense of community.
Anchor House enjoyed some lively games of table tennis and table football, with plenty of laughter and friendly competition filling the common room. Pupils took turns challenging one another, cheering on their housemates, and showing off both their skills and their sportsmanship. The quick rallies and close matches made for an exciting atmosphere, while the relaxed setting meant that everyone could join in and have fun, regardless of experience. It was a wonderful way for Anchor pupils to unwind, spend time together, and strengthen the bonds within their house.
We are extremely proud of how well our boarders have settled in. They have approached every opportunity with enthusiasm, supported one another, and embraced both house and whole-school activities with a fantastic attitude. It has been wonderful to see them building friendships, trying new things, and quickly becoming part of the Rossall community. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow and thrive in the weeks ahead.
