Holiday club at Rossall School in association with Skool’s Out, Fleetwood.

For ages 4-14

8.15am – 4.15pm

£17.50 per day

Booking is essential

(includes snacks and a hot meal)


Monday 17th February – Friday 21st February 2020

  • February 2020 Half Term Holiday Club Programme - Science Week

    Monday 17th February
    Morning: Skittle Experiment
    The children will be provided with skittles and water and will be asked to add the water to the skittles and watch to see what happens.

    Swimming: 11.00am-12.00 noon followed by lunch.

    Afternoon: Egg Parachutes
    The children will be taking part in an egg parachute competition. They will create their own parachute and will then drop them down from the balcony to see who has created the fastest parachute.

    Tuesday 18th February
    Morning: Slime Fest
    The children will be getting sticky and messy while creating their own different coloured slime.

    Trip Day (additional cost): Later in the day the children are off to the bowling alley to show off their bowling skills.

    Wednesday 19th February
    Morning: Magic Milk Colour Explosion
    The children will be provided with bowls, washing up liquid, a variety of food colouring, milk and cotton wool balls. They will be asked to put the different ingredients in a bowl and then watch the milk explosion. I wonder what will happen!

    Swimming: 11.00am-12.00pm followed by lunch.

    Afternoon: Seaside Adventure (Weather dependent)
    The children will be required to bring in £2.00 towards a trip to the arcade and a yummy ice cream treat.
    In the event of inclement weather, they will take part in team games such as rounder’s, football, cricket, basketball and dodge ball in the sports hall. Afterwards, they will be rewarded with a slushy to cool them down and a yummy sweet treat.

    Thursday 20th February 2020

    Morning: Fizzing Colours
    The children will be provided with baking soda, food colouring and vinegar. They will sprinkle baking soda all over the tray, then add the food colouring followed by the vinegar and “TA DA” the experiment has started.

    Swimming: 11.00am-12.00pm followed by lunch.

    Afternoon: Lava Lamp Creations
    The children will be asked to bring in a jar e.g. jam jar and will then follow instructions to create their own lava lamp.

    Friday 21st February 2020
    Morning: Walking Water
    The children will be provided with cups of water, food colouring and tissue. They will pour food colouring into the cups of water and then place tissue paper in the cups and watch the water ‘walk’ and the tissue paper change colour.

    Swimming: 11.00am-12.00pm followed by lunch.

    Afternoon: Tie-dye t-shirt
    The children will be asked to bring in their own t-shirt (white is preferable). They will be provided with different colour dyes to create their own masterpiece.
