Summer School

Rossall Summer School offers vacation courses for young learners who want to improve their communication skills in an English boarding school setting. Students have 20 hours a week of English language lessons together with a variety of activities and cultural experiences, including a weekly full day trip. Courses run for 8 weeks in July and August and students can choose to join us for anything from 2 to 8 weeks.

We welcome boys and girls from all over the world who would like to join us on our beautiful coastal campus where they have plenty of space to learn, explore and have fun. We hope students will make friends with people from other countries that will continue after their course finishes. Rossall Summer School is also suitable for students who want to improve their English language skills before starting an academic course at Rossall School in September.

  • Skills Weeks Schedule 2018

Last year we introduced a range of specialist skills weeks. These were so popular that we have increased the variety on offer for summer 2018. These skills weeks allow students to focus on developing a specific activity, alongside their studies. The intensive teaching and coaching programme will be delivered by qualified instructors.

    • Performing Arts – 7th July to 14th July
    • Golf – 14th July to 21st July
    • Best of British Cookery Skills – 21st July to 28th July
    • Football with Fleetwood Town FC – 28th July to 4th August
    • Adventures in Astronomy – 4th August to 11th August
    • Photography – 11th August to 18th August
    • Taekwondo – 18th August to 25th August
    • Football with Fleetwood Town FC – 25th August to 1st September

Of course, those who decide not to choose a specialised skill can enjoy a fun-packed programme of creative activities and sports.

Rossall Summer School uses the school’s excellent facilities allowing us to offer a varied programme to suit everyone.
