New £4m Sports Centre Project approved by the Rossall School Council

Rossall School is thrilled to announce that the new Sports Centre plans have been approved by the School’s Council. A contractor has been appointed and work will commence over the School’s Summer holidays. Completion is scheduled for the start of the 2019/2020 Academic Year.

This is an exciting project and demonstrates real commitment from the School in terms of its continuing responsibility to provide modern facilities for the students and the wider community.

The new Sports Centre will include:

  • An indoor sports hall (six badminton court size) with provision for indoor Hockey, Basketball and Cricket (nets will be fitted).
  • A four-lane 50m Sprint Track.
  • A viewing Gallery over the existing Rossall Astroturf.
  • A Fitness Suite.
  • Male and female changing facilities for the indoor sports facilities, the multi-use games area (MUGA) and the Astroturf.

Further information in regards to this project and the fundraising will be provided over the coming weeks.

Rossall School is also pleased to announce that work has already commenced on the provision of a new Performing Arts Centre and this facility will be open during September 2018.
