The World Challenge Expedition is offered to students in the Sixth Form and for those who take part, it can be a life-changing experience.
The expedition lasts one month and the destination will be a remote part of the world. In 2014 the group travelled to Vietnam and Cambodia in South East Asia. The next expedition, in 2018, will explore The India Himalayan Region.
Three weeks of fairly arduous trekking are followed by a social project and a short period of rest and relaxation before the journey home.
The World Challenge Expedition is not for the faint-hearted, not least because each individual student pledges to raise the cost of the trip themselves, but the experience is incredible and hugely rewarding.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a fantastic scheme which allows young people to challenge themselves and learn new skills through planning and training for a series of walking expeditions.
Throughout the year, we support a wide range of charities as a School.
As part of our mission to expand our pupils' horizons and deepen their understanding, trips and visits form an important part of their learning journey.
