Life at Rossall is infused with music at many different levels and we aim to awaken a life-long love and appreciation of music in its broadest sense. Singing, music-making and performance start young with our wonderful musical productions, Strings Project and highly contested House Instrumental, House Shout and House Singing Competitions.
As pupils grow up through the School, opportunities to try different musical genres, instruments and styles abound, with peripatetic lessons on offer in everything from harp and French horn to voice and viola.
Our students love to perform and this is encouraged from an early age.
At Rossall, all pupils have the opportunity to receive one-to-one instrumental tuition.
Whether they wish to learn purely for fun, to achieve ABRSM/Trinity/Rock School qualifications or to support their GCSE, A Level or International Baccalaureate music studies, we have a dedicated team of expert teachers to support and guide them along the way.
Lessons take place before, during and after the school day and many pupils enjoy weekly instrumental lessons.
We offer tuition in: Piano, Organ, Singing, Guitar, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Flute, Bassoon, Oboe, Saxophone, Clarinet, Drums, Violin and Cello.
If you wish to enrol your child in one-to-one instrumental lessons, please complete the form below.
Lessons cost £210 (All fees are subject to a periodic increase in accordance with Rossall School’s Terms and Conditions).
Drama is flourishing at Rossall! Two school plays are performed each year, usually in the Michaelmas and Lent term.
We are a very creative school and the Art and Design Departments are a magnet for our artistic and design orientated students.
