Drama is flourishing at Rossall! Taking to the stage starts young with our Nativity Plays and annual Infant Play. As pupils move up through the Junior School there are more opportunities to perform in productions, sometimes linked in to the curriculum, such as the perennially creative Year 6 Shakespeare play.
In the Senior School, there are regular drama productions which have recently included the West-End hit, ‘Les Miserables’, the Disney class, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, and Charles Dickens’, ‘Great Expectations’.
Pupils are able to take additional small group and individual speech and drama lessons leading to LAMDA examinations.
As well as being part of the Year 7 – 9 curriculum, Theatre Studies is also offered as a GCSE and A level subject.
