Rossall Nursery – Exciting Developments
Rossall School is delighted to announce the expansion and development of its existing Infants and Nursery provision. The Nursery is set to move to a new suite of rooms containing state-of-the-art facilities and easy access to the School petting farm and Beach School.
Along the with the opening of our Baby Room (Sept 2020) and the addition of accepting 30 hours funded childcare (Jan 2020), Nikola Stott, a highly experienced practitioner, has been appointed Director of Rossall Nursery and she is thrilled to be joining Rossall at a time when the strategic focus of the School is being directed so resolutely towards the nursery provision.
Matt Turner, Head of Rossall Junior School comments that:
“I am delighted that Rossall Nursery is set to consolidate its position as a regional leader in terms of the outstanding quality of its staff and the fabulous quality of its learning environment. Our children are tremendously fortunate insomuch as they benefit from access to our multi-million-pound sports centre and swimming pool.
“Quite possibly the only Nursery in the country that owns its very own private beach (a quarter of a mile out to sea!), Rossall offers a child-centred approach which promotes the development of individuality, creativity and self-confidence. All of this is achieved in close partnership with our parents.”
The spacious natural learning zones for two and three-year-olds, alongside our pre-School area, will ensure distinctive age-appropriate facilities conducive to structured play. Additional plans for three new classrooms (for our four to seven-year-olds) will ensure a coherent learning environment from 0-7.
Matt Turner added: “I believe that our new provision will be truly outstanding in every regard and we now have a wonderful environment for young children to grow and play.”
