Exam results and university destinations
We are delighted with the performance of our outgoing Upper Sixth. Pupils secured excellent results in both A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, and, as a result, are pursuing their courses of choice at top universities.
Our IB average points score of 31 points was well above that of the world average for 2019.
Rossall students also achieved excellent exam results at GCSE. In particular, 89% of students gained 5 or more passes (grades 9 – 4 or A*-C) including Maths and English and 36% of our pupils managed 5 or more GCSEs at grade 7/A or higher. Moreover, just under 50% of all grades were 7/A and above and 15% of our grades were the top grade 9, relative to a national average of 4.5%

The time at Rossall is merely a springboard to the rest of one’s life so it is vitally important to spend time exploring and considering the best route to take.
At Sixth Form level, Rossall offers the very best of two worlds - the traditional A Level route and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
As part of our enrichment programme and commitment to expanding horizons, we run a varied and engaging series of lectures, talks and presentations throughout the year.
