Senior School Vacancies

Rossall is a wonderfully enriching Senior School environment. Each phase is carefully structured to nurture independence, social interaction and a healthy and active approach to learning. A Sixth Form education at Rossall is designed to stimulate and challenge in equal measure – we want our sixth formers to be intellectually curious, to be able to articulate and defend their opinions. At sixth form level, Rossall offers the traditional A Level route and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

  • HEAD OF MATHEMATICS - CLOSING DATE: 03/02/2020

    Required for September 2020

    Rossall School is among the most successful and prestigious independent boarding and day schools in the North West with flourishing pupil numbers.

    We wish to appoint an experienced and inspirational Head of Mathematics
    from September 2020.

    A dynamic and experienced practitioner is required to lead the Mathematics Department from September 2020. The successful applicant will be a qualified teacher and should be able and willing to teach Mathematics from KS3 up to A Level standard. Experience of the International Baccalaureate is desirable though not essential.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Successful execution of the role involves the ability to work well under pressure and form strong and productive professional relationships.

    An inspiring, enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics is required to join our thriving department of 9. The successful applicant will be a qualified teacher or an NQT and should be able and willing to teach Mathematics from KS3 up to A Level standard. Experience of the International Baccalaureate is desirable though not essential. We will also consider applications from current and potential teacher trainees.

  • HEAD OF RS AND PHILOSOPHY - CLOSING DATE: 03/02/2020

    Required for September 2020

    Rossall School is among the most successful and prestigious independent boarding and day schools in the North West with flourishing pupil numbers.

    A dynamic and experienced practitioner is required to lead the RS & Philosophy Department from September 2020.

    The Head of RS & Philosophy will possess a desire and commitment to raise achievement and have the ability to oversee the planning and delivery of interesting and varied lessons within the department employing a range of high quality, effective approaches to teaching and learning with a great deal of success.

    The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher with a strong commitment to ensuring that all students within the department achieve excellent examination results (from a value-added perspective) and will be able to teach Philosophy at A Level standard. Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate and experience of supporting Oxbridge applicants would be preferable, though not essential.

Junior School Vacancies

The Rossall Infant and Junior Schools are close to our Senior School and are part of the wonderful, historical campus overlooking the coastline. There is no shortage of technology and the pupils have access to the top quality facilities of the Senior School. Beyond the extensive sports facilities, pool and theatre there is a nature conservation area and a space science and astronomy centre.

There are currently no Junior School vacancies.


 

Summer School Vacancies

Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills, and cultural experiences. The Summer School is designed to appeal to boys and girls from all over the world, running throughout the 8 weeks of the Rossall School summer holidays. The Junior Programme accommodates children aged 8-11 and the Senior Programme is for children aged 12-17. We encourage a minimum two-week stay for all pupils.


 

Non-Teaching Vacancies

Non-teaching staff make-up 58% of the staff at Rossall School and play a vital role in the School’s success. Non-teaching staff provide essential services for the whole school ranging from day to day office support to financial and business management. Onsite support staff include caretakers, people responsible for recruitment and marketing, cleaners, caterers, ground staff and many more.
