Senior School Vacancies

Rossall is a wonderfully enriching Senior School environment. Each phase is carefully structured to nurture independence, social interaction and a healthy and active approach to learning. A Sixth Form education at Rossall is designed to stimulate and challenge in equal measure – we want our sixth formers to be intellectually curious, to be able to articulate and defend their opinions. At sixth form level, Rossall offers the traditional A Level route and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

  • TEACHER OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES - CLOSING DATE 14/06/2019

    Required for September 2019

    Rossall School is among the most successful and prestigious independent boarding and day schools in the North West with flourishing pupil numbers.

    An inspiring, enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Studies and Philosophy is required.
    The successful applicant will be a qualified teacher or an a qualified teacher, an NQT or an exceptional individual looking to train and have the subject knowledge be able and willing to teach RS up to A Level standard. The ability to teach other humanities up to the end of KS3 would be an advantage.

    Experience of the International Baccalaureate is desirable though not essential. We will also consider applications from current and potential teacher trainees.

Junior School Vacancies

The Rossall Infant and Junior Schools are close to our Senior School and are part of the wonderful, historical campus overlooking the coastline. There is no shortage of technology and the pupils have access to the top quality facilities of the Senior School. Beyond the extensive sports facilities, pool and theatre there is a nature conservation area and a space science and astronomy centre.

 

There are currently no Junior School vacancies. 


 

Summer School Vacancies

Rossall Summer School is an intensive language programme combined with general activities, specialised skills, and cultural experiences. The Summer School is designed to appeal to boys and girls from all over the world, running throughout the 8 weeks of the Rossall School summer holidays. The Junior Programme accommodates children aged 8-11 and the Senior Programme is for children aged 12-17. We encourage a minimum two-week stay for all pupils.

There are currently no Summer School vacancies. 


 

Non-Teaching Vacancies

Non-teaching staff make-up 58% of the staff at Rossall School and play a vital role in the School’s success. Non-teaching staff provide essential services for the whole school ranging from day to day office support to financial and business management. Onsite support staff include caretakers, people responsible for recruitment and marketing, cleaners, caterers, ground staff and many more.

 

  • PART-TIME COOK / FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT - CLOSING DATE: 19/06/2019

    Rossall School is among the most successful and prestigious independent boarding and day schools in the North West with flourishing pupil numbers.

    Mondo’s on site café is open to Sixth Formers during the day but younger pupils can buy snacks at break time such as bacon or sausage sandwiches, drinks and sweets.

    At least two evenings per week, during term time, Mondo’s is open to boarders and school residents and there are also occasional theme nights and out of term time functions and events.

    We wish to appoint a part-time Cook / Front of House Assistant to join a small friendly team.

    The successful candidate will be experienced in cooking in a café environment and possess excellent customer service skills.

    The position is a part-time post, term time only, but with an expectation to work some weeks in the summer holidays and be available for occasional additional functions and events.

    The normal hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9.00am – 12.30pm
