It is with great sadness that we announce the death of former member of Common Room, Kate Griffiths, who passed away on Saturday 8th April, surrounded by her loved ones.
Kate worked at Rossall from 2002 until 2015, working within the Science Department as teacher and Head of Chemistry. She was also Houseparent of Rose from 2004 to 2010.

The Oriental Club Welcomes Old Rossallians
For nearly two hundred years, the Oriental Club has been the Central London focal point for those who have lived, worked or travelled in the East and for local Members who value the amenities and service offered by the Club and its home, the impressive Stratford House. The Club was founded in 1824 with the Duke of Wellington as the Club’s first and only President.
The Club is situated closet to Bond Street and within easy reach of the City and Canary Wharf. It offers an elegant dining room with a Michelin-rated executive chef in the kitchen, spacious drawing rooms for relaxing, bars, meeting rooms and a billiards room. There is also a tranquil terrace, an IT Suite, private dining rooms and forty well appointed bedrooms.
There is a vibrant programme of social events and different Societies to join and the Club is a member of the Inter-Club Group for Under 35s.
For under 25s, the Club has established the OC7 Scheme where by there is the opportunity of paying a one-off subscription of £350 for membership between the ages of 18 and 25, with no entrance fee or proposer or seconder required.
