Mentoring at Rossall
Often pupils need to talk about what may be on their mind with a teacher, tutor, houseparent or trusted adult, but sometimes it is easier to speak to their peers.
Our Mentors are students from different age groups who have volunteered to lend a listening ear to their fellow pupils.
After being recruited the Mentors receive training to help them in their listening role, including guidance about the best way to refer those who talk to them if necessary.
The peer mentoring scheme also develops the confidence, life skills and emotional intelligence of the Mentors themselves.
Rossall Mentors provide a very worthwhile and valued service by contributing to the pastoral care offered to all pupils in our School.
As a school with a strong Christian foundation, the Chaplaincy and our spiritual life are very important to us.
Central to a Rossall education is the relationship that is built between the pupils and the teaching staff.
The Learning Support offered at Rossall is second to none. We are able to support students with a variety of learning needs, including dyslexia, dyscalculia and autistic spectrum conditions.
