As a school with a strong Christian foundation, the Chaplaincy and our spiritual life are very important to us. We have pupils and staff from many different faiths and backgrounds so we are welcoming and inclusive to all by offering our support on their journey of life and faith.
We are blessed with a wonderful Chapel for regular yet flexible, formal and informal gatherings, including Christian Chapel Services, Congregational Hymn Practices, Holy Communion Services, House Chapels and Head’s Assemblies. The Chaplaincy programme also includes seasonal and festival services, Baptisms as well as Confirmations and Weddings.
The work of the Chaplaincy complements the wide-ranging pastoral care offered by the School, and also contributes to the academic and extra-curricular programmes. Our resident Chaplain, Revd. Etienne van Blerk, offers a listening ear to everyone within the Rossall Community.
The Hub (chaplaincy centre) is located centrally in the School and provides a friendly meeting place.
Often pupils need to talk about what may be on their mind with a teacher, tutor, houseparent or trusted adult, but sometimes it is easier to speak to their peers.
Central to a Rossall education is the relationship that is built between the pupils and the teaching staff.
The House System sits at the heart of our tutorial structure at Rossall and becomes a very important element of school life in terms of community, identity, pastoral and academic support.
