Following on from the Scuba Diving activity which runs weekly on a Thursday evening, six of the students were able to complete their PADI Open Water Certification at the weekend.
Throughout the year the students have completed the academics course, learnt about the equipment and received pool training; concluding with their open water dives in Capernwray Diving Centre.
John Cooper, Aryan Tamakuwala, Nicole Agostinho Wong, Mila Haberlin, Morgan Wallace and Alex Fielden benefited from super diving conditions. Their early nerves soon dissipated and they all really enjoyed their first open water experience; the students can now look forward to seeing more of the world beneath the sea.
