Senior School

Whether joining us in Year 7, Year 9 or at another point of the Senior School journey, Rossall is a wonderfully enriching Senior School environment. Each phase is carefully structured to nurture independence, social interaction, a healthy and active approach and to develop a lifelong love of learning.

Pupils in Years 7 and 8 are members of Dragon, our middle school years. Dragon is a wonderful bridge from the Junior School, providing a step up to the senior school experience within a Prep School environment. Year 7 and 8 pupils are based in Dragon along with their tutors and staff for pastoral and social time then venture out around campus for their lessons, lunch and activities.

Pupils in Year 9 and above join one of our senior houses; we have four girls’ houses and five boys’ houses. All of the houses accommodate boarding and day pupils so there is always a healthy crossover and blending of day and boarding lives. The houses become a very important part of everyday life – firm friendships are forged, a great sense of belonging is engendered and friendly rivalry with other houses is inevitable!

Rossall School now accepts Common Entrance pupils at 13+. For more information, please click here.
