Leadership and Team Building
We want our young people to be great team members and also to develop the skills and attributes to be able to step up as great leaders.
Opportunities for working and enhancing teamwork skills abound, from the obvious chances in sport, extra-curricular activities and drama, to house activities, charity events and classroom-based tasks.
Activities such as the CCF and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award are ideal for developing teamworking, as well as leadership skills. Opportunities for students to take leadership roles are presented in many different ways, conscious as we are that leadership itself comes in many different guises!
Students are able to take on roles such as Peer Mentors, Student Ambassadors, Student Council Representatives, House Captains, Monitors and many more besides.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a fantastic scheme which allows young people to challenge themselves and learn new skills through planning and training for a series of walking expeditions.
Rossall is proud to be home to the oldest Combined Cadet Force in the country established in 1860.
