Boarding or Day?
One of the key considerations when joining Rossall is whether to be a boarder or day pupil. The choice is, in fact, even greater than that with three boarding options; firstly to board occasionally as a flexi-boarder, secondly to board during the school week as a weekly boarder, and thirdly to board throughout the term as a full boarder.
If you live close enough to be a day pupil, the beauty of a school such as Rossall is that the boarding option is always there as a possibility as you move up the School – perhaps to free up additional time for study or perhaps to give you increased levels of independence as a preparation for leaving home and university life.
The other major advantage of being a day pupil at a school which is 50% boarding is that the opportunity to arrive early enough for breakfast or stay late to enjoy supper and prep time is always there. The extensive facilities on campus which are open to boarders are also available for day students.
Amongst the tangible reasons for boarding are the excellent, modern student accommodation facilities for girls and boys.
Flexi-boarding is an excellent way to get a taste of boarding, perhaps as a stepping stone to weekly or full boarding.
A unique educational experience, leading to an appreciation of all that life has to offer. That’s what you can expect from Rossall.
